Tires delivered to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Memorial Unit Tire Retreading Facility, will be retreaded and repaired in compliance with Tire Industry Association Standards, to ensure the safest retreaded tires possible. Texas Correctional Industries’ (TCI) retreading process utilizes the recommended standards set by the Tire Industry Association (TIA), of which we are a member. |

Equipment used in our retreading process is among the latest technology available. The G 100 Matteuzzi and Hawkinson Non-Destructive Tester (NDT II) are utilized in the final stages to insure that the finished product conforms to the Tire Industry Association Standards. Application of tread rubber will utilize the Cahill R-23 Tread Builder or the Tread Bonder Pre-cure system. The Tire Retreading facility and the customer will jointly determine the parameters and repair limits, to insure a safe, quality product. The TCI retreading service is proven and provides a substantial savings to customers.
