Order and Delivery

Texas Correctional Industries (TCI) may sell products or services to city, county, state and federal agencies, public schools, public and private institutions of higher education, public hospitals and political subdivisions as well as Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), Windham School District (WSD), University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) and Texas Tech University Health Science Center (TTUHSC) current and retired employees, Texas Board of Criminal Justice (TBCJ) current and past board members, current and past members of the State Legislature and other governing bodies, and elected officials. 

We offer delivery for some products. For these products, you will see delivery listed under "Additional Options" on the product page. Routine Dock Delivery will occur within 90 days of the receipt of purchase order (ARO). TCI will deliver items to your receiving dock. If there is not a receiving dock, we will place the order inside the front door of the lowest floor. You are responsible for all other movement to storage or user location.

We offer two shipping and installation options: 

• Freight: A flat rate per item freight charge will apply to each item based on the type of product purchased. We also consider the receiving entity's Council of Government District when calculating fees.
• Installation: We calculate installation charges on a job-by-job basis. Please contact our Customer Service representatives for more information and to process your order.

The type of warranty depends on the product you purchase.

General Commercial Seating

The warranty covers all chair components including pneumatic cylinders, bases, casters, glides, frames, arms, plastic seats, backs and other structural components. It applies to single shift, standard commercial usage, defined as a standard eight-hour week for individuals weighing up to 250 pounds. TCI seating is warranted for two years for the original purchaser of normal use seating. Foam and textiles are also warranted for two years.  

The warranty on the light-use series is for an eight-hour day, 40-hour week for users up to 250 pounds. Light-use product series under this warranty include:  

TCI currently uses Sherpa & Shire Douglass, and Douglass Vinyl. TCI does not warrant Customer Own Materials (COM) or Global Purchased Materials (GPM) that are customer specified materials or graded-in and purchased by TCI for a customer. For GPM or COM products, please contact the textile supplier for performance information and warranty details.

Case Goods and Furniture

All warranties are to the original purchaser. Warranties are not transferable. All warranties are limited to manufacturing and material defects that appear under normal, indoor use. TCI warrants our products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for two years from the date of shipment. Defects must be reported via written notice to the manufacturer within 30 days of the appearance of such defect. Additional limitations described herein apply:

Warranties are for repair, replacement, or substitution only, at TCI’s sole discretion.  

Warranties are voided by evidence of excessive soiling, improper cleaning or treatment, abuse, or abnormal use or use contrary to the advisories or instructions contained herein.
